Answers:

 B.  Australians like to shorten just about everything.  Breakfast becomes “Breaky”.  McDonald’s becomes “Maccas”.  I have no idea what “Ta” is short for but it does mean “Thank-you.”

A.  If you’ve ever been approached by a group of kangaroos, this one makes perfect sense.

D.  If you ever drive here though, it seems much, much bigger.  Those long boring miles of corn in Nebraska got nothin’ on the vast NOTHING of central Australia’s outback.

D.  Seriously, who makes a time zone in the middle of their country ½ hour different?  Australia, that’s who!  And don’t give them any crap about it because they have lots and lots of the most venomous snakes in the world and they’re not afraid to use them.

E.  This was a “gimme”.  If you missed this one, you need to come visit us so we can educate you.  Actually, even if you got this one right you should come visit us so you don’t miss you opportunity to enjoy one of the most unbelievable places you’ll ever go.

A.  Apparently Sydney and Melbourne both wanted to get this honor and couldn’t resolve the issue so they built Canberra as a “planned city” that is in the Capitol Territory.

B.  The states are Queensland (where we live), New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia.  The 2 territories are Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory.

A.  Another “gimme” – no discussion or explanation.  It is what it is and it continues to lose value.

D.  Same land mass as the U.S. with less than 1/10th the population makes for long distances between neighbors – especially in the outback!

  C.  This is almost 1.5 times the distance as it is from Milwaukee to Denver.  Think how big that sucker is!!  It’s mind boggling…  Come see it!

That’s all folks….! (not so fast Jawhn)
